Balsamic Onion Marmalade

Ingredients
  

  • 1 T. vegetable oil
  • 2 red onions (sliced thin)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 2 T. ALAGA Cane Syrup
  • 1 c. balsamic vinegar

Instructions
 

  • Break apart onions and saute' over medium heat in oil until soft and transparent.
  • Add the ALAGA Cane Syrup and cook an additional 5 minutes.
  • Add the vinegar and cook until reduced to a thick marmalade consistency.
  • Spoon over mashed potatoe, pork or beef.
